What if the sun were a different color?

This is a very simple activity that answered a question from one of the kindergarteners  -  what if the sun were a different color?   We used alfafa sprouts since they are so easy to sprout.  Seeds were spread over a damp sponge.  The we covered each tray of alfafa sprouts with a different color of saran wrap.

Results

The tray with the yellow saran wrap sprouted more quickly than the tray with the pink saran wrap or the tray with clear saran wrap.
