Model Classroom Lessons: Enriching Knowledge

Bird feeders made by children from pine cones and peanut butter and birdhouse gourds.
At Peabody,
we believe that children learn in a meaningful way when knowledge is
enriched by a wide variety of activities. In order to reach all
children with the vast array of intelligences and learning styles, it is
important that we broaden the scope of our instruction. A wholistic
context furthers the children's ability to make significant and long-lasting
connections in their learning. Therefore, we seek to provide outdoor
activities, kinesthetic interpretations, and literacy activities to enrich the
knowledge base of the child.
